Based in the UK, Electro-Wind specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of single-phase transformers, three-phase transformers, control transformers, isolation transformers, transformer rectifiers, AC reactors, DC chokes and bespoke wound components for industrial, commercial, rail and OEM applications.

Our transformers are manufactured to the highest industry standards, complying with IEC 61558 and IEC 60076. Electro-Wind is accredited to ISO 9001:2015 and holds UL approval for the manufacture of transformers, autotransformers, reactors and chokes for customers across North America and international markets.

Continuous Investment in UK Manufacturing

Electro-Wind operates across three dedicated manufacturing facilities, continually investing in equipment, technology and skilled engineers to increase production capacity and improve efficiency.

Following the expansion into a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in 2016 and the addition of a dedicated transformer production unit in 2024, our main factory underwent a major extension and refurbishment during 2025 and 2026.

Investment has included advanced winding machinery, new curing ovens, enhanced extraction systems, additional overhead cranes and an improved production layout, enabling us to manufacture larger, more complex transformers while reducing lead times for customers.

The creation of a dedicated facility for smaller transformer production has further streamlined our operations, allowing our main manufacturing site to focus on high-power transformers, bespoke projects and specialist engineering solutions.
